Data Visualization for Publication and Presentation In-Person / Online
Data visualization is one of the most important parts of communicating your research - figures in papers and posters play a vital role in drawing attention to your key findings and points. This workshop will look at ways to improve visualizations specifically for the purposes of publishing or presenting research, covering general visualization best practices as well as specific topics like more approachable tables and readable alternatives to the much-used boxplot.
Specific examples shown may be created in the Python package Altair or in Excel, but insights will be applicable to any tool.
