Maps, Data, and MAGIC: The World of GIS

Maps, Data, and MAGIC: The World of GIS In-Person / Online

In the first workshop of the two-part GIS series, you will be introduced to the basics of GIS concepts and explore the ArcGIS Pro interface. Through hands-on practice with real-world datasets, you will learn how to navigate the software, visualize spatial data, and design professional map layouts.

This series is ideal for beginners eager to learn GIS fundamentals and those seeking practical, hands-on training in the ArcGIS Pro software.

It is highly recommended to download ArcGIS Pro onto your Windows computer before the workshop. Follow the instructions from IS&T to download ArcGIS Pro. ArcGIS Pro is only available for Windows PCs, but you may also use the classroom computers to access the software during the workshop. Contact IS&T for any software installation issues.
