Graphic Medicine Book Club In-Person / Online
Graphic medicine is the use of narrative and art (like comics) to explore medicine related concepts and information (National Library of Medicine, N.D.). Within this category is graphic novels, web comics, cartoons, and even illustrated textbooks. Narrative and/pr graphic medicine can be a way to combine the implicit and personal nature of health and wellness as well as the explicit information around science, health, and the world. These kinds of narratives and stories can help us better understand ourselves, patients, holistic health, cultural perceptions around health and wellness, and societal experiences of medicine.
