Writing data management plans for grant proposals using DMPTool In-Person / Online
By the end of 2025, all federal agencies that fund research will require a Data Management Plan (DMP) accompany grant proposals for research funding. Some agencies, such as NSF and NIH, already require Data Management or Data Management and Sharing Plans. These documents lay out the qualities of the data that will be collected, how it will be stored and protected, how and where it will be shared, and who will be responsible for managing the data.
This workshop will cover the basics of writing funder-required DMPs and using DMPtool.org, a resource to help format, fill, and collaborate on DMPs.
