Intro to Virtual Reality at Rinker In-Person
This workshop will introduce attendees to the virtual reality experiences available through Rinker Campus Library Services. The VR experiences are focused on health sciences and are intended to help attendees practice and learn skills related to their courses. Simulation experiences include practicing CPR skills, speech simulations, and EKG apps:
- CPR Simulator - The CPR Simulator provides immersive CPR training in a simple, intuitive, and customizable way.
- Under the Skin - A virtual reality 3D simulation to educate current and future healthcare providers on the dangers of vesicant chemotherapy drugs' leakage and how to apply the best evidence in treating vesicant extravasation when it occurs.
- Awake ECG - Discover the mysterious world of the natural pacemakers which can produce electrical signals and contract the heart's muscles.
Attendees are encouraged to review VR/AR safety guidelines prior to attending the workshop.
