Controlled Vocabulary Conquerors: Harnessing the Power of Precise Database Searches Online
This workshop is designed to help researchers improve their database searches by incorporating controlled vocabulary into their search strategies. Participants will learn how to identify controlled vocabularies (also known as index terms or subject headings) and select the most relevant search terms for their research topics. The workshop will cover the use of controlled vocabularies in popular databases (such as ERIC, PubMed, PsycInfo) and provide hands-on practice in developing search strategies using controlled vocabulary terms.
